Bayle Mountain Marketing is the husband and wife team of Darcy & Jonathan Sauers of Dover, NH.
Jonathan has been around events his whole life, he remembers as a child following his dad around the bowels of the Philadelphia Spectrum. He started his career at a convention center in Florida, helped to open the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ and then moved to managing events and ice hockey games at the Whittemore Center Arena at the University of New Hampshire. Most recently he was the Show Director for the American Sportfishing Association and produced three huge expos in the Northeast.
Darcy’s expertise is on the advertising and marketing side of the events. She has worked for more than 10 years in advertising and public relations. First at a local advertising agency in Portsmouth, NH and then on to Manhattan. Darcy worked as a media buyer at Gillespie Advertising Agency in Princeton, NJ for a year, until her heart called her home to New England. Back in Portsmouth, she spent several years working in marketing and sales at an e-mail marketing company.
Darcy and Jonathan met at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY while on the Swimming and Diving team. But it was until years later when they bumped into each other at the Portsmouth Brewery that they got together.
After the births of their three children, Darcy was moved to become a postpartum doula and certified lactation counselor and started her business of Dover Doula. She was passionate about connecting moms with the amazing resources available in the area, but frustrated by how hard it was for the moms and the local businesses to connect.
In 2006 Lisa Flynn of Childlight Yoga created the Mom and Wellness Sampler, an annual event that rotated around local Seacoast area yoga studios. After several years, the event had grown, and so had her two businesses: Childlight Yoga and Yoga 4 Classrooms. Lisa wanted to put all her focus on the two businesses, Darcy saw an opportunity for Dover Doula to grow and she had just the guy to run the Wellness Sampler.
